The Gallery Is Finally Here

The Gallery Is Finally Here

2025-12-15

Finally. At last. The gallery. I’ll be honest — it wasn’t as simple as “just upload and go,” but after 3 evenings of work on it, things will be easier from here on out.

The gallery is available from the menu at the top or here. I’ve divided it into several smaller sections — one Spanish region, one gallery, plus the road to the coast — from Poland through Germany, all the way to the coast past Montpellier in France.

That’s a lovely region, by the way, and I’d love to spend more time there — though ideally in March or April when the nights are a bit warmer.

Enjoy!

What’s in the photos

I don’t visit a lot of cities. Most of the photos are beaches, mountains, nature and sky. I find myself drawn to photographing the sea and the sky, and you can clearly see that in the gallery.

I also shoot a lot of video, and at first I was actually filming more than photographing — but later I realised that wasn’t the best approach. I’m also putting together some video material, so hopefully I’ll be able to share that soon.

A bit on the technical side

Photos taken on a phone can take up a truly enormous amount of space. Far too much to serve on a website. So I had to reduce the quality somewhat and convert from JPG to WebP (the optimal format for websites).

It would be nice to add a caption to every photo, but that’s time-consuming, so I did my best to add the date and name of the place where each photo was taken — not all photos have them, because I didn’t have location turned on right from the start.
